CapitaLand Hope Foundation, the philanthropic arm of CapitaLand has donated S$50,000 to be the title sponsor of the 3.2km Fun Run of the Singapore Exchange (SGX) annual Bull Charge, a charity race in Singapore’s Central Business District. This contributes to the S$1.2 million raised by SGX for 12 charitable organisations. The Bull Charge 2009, held at the Float @ Marina Bay will accommodate over 2,000 runners, with some 230 of them from CapitaLand.

On top of strong staff participation, CapitaLand Hope Foundation has been a steadfast supporter and sponsor of the Bull Charge over the past six years, upholding its commitment to improve the lives of underprivileged children.

Mr Lim Chin Beng, Chairman of CapitaLand Hope Foundation, said: “CapitaLand Hope Foundation focuses on supporting the shelter, education and healthcare needs of underprivileged children in Singapore and overseas. As a pioneer sponsor of the charity run in 2004, the foundation has donated S$300,000 to The Bull Charge over the past six years. We are pleased to continue to support this worthy cause and reach out to deserving children.”

The Bull Charge, which takes place on 20 November 2009, is organised by SGX, in partnership with Temasek Holdings, The Business Times, Channel NewsAsia and PricewaterhouseCoopers. It is also supported by the Land Transport Authority and the Singapore Sports Council.
