Wang Shuping's Art Exhibition

Art Exhibition by Chinese Artist Wang Shuping

Venue: ION Art

Date: 26 February 2010

Mr Wang Shuping has been committed to artistic creation for over 30 years and is reputed as an “envoy of cultural diplomacy”, having exhibited his works all over the world, including at the UN Headquarters. At a Sotheby’s auction held in Hong Kong in October this year, a framed ink and wash work on paper, “Eagles” by Mr Wang Shuping fetched HK$3.6 million.

This exhibition held at ION Art, ION Orchard, Singapore is a collaboration between the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Singapore, and CapitaLand. Co-organising the Wang Shuping Art Exhibition in 2010 marks a significant milestone for CapitaLand as it celebrates its 10th anniversary and reaffirms its commitment to build a meaningful long term partnership with China. The exhibition is also part of CapitaLand’s cultural exchange programme, which aims to promote a deeper cultural understanding between Singapore and the cities in which we operate.
